On June 20, the Pistons officially announced the firing of head coach Monty Williams. Draymond Green shared his thoughts on the matter in a recent show.
Draymond said, “Monty was let go after just one season. Congratulations to Monty, he can now go back to his family and collect his $65 million paycheck. Can you imagine signing a historic contract and then getting fired the following year? The Pistons didn’t even give him a chance to genuinely establish a team culture.”
He continued, “The Lakers should hire Monty as their head coach to work with LeBron and AD. Davis enjoyed his time with Monty in New Orleans, and the Lakers should definitely consider it, especially given their history.”
Do you think the Lakers should hire Monty as their head coach?
