On June 13, the official social media of the China Basketball Association announced that this training camp aims at preparing for the 2027 FIBA World Cup and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics as its overall goal, with phase-specific objectives such as evaluating players, fine-tuning the roster, building physical fitness, and enhancing overall tactical skills.
This summer will feature over ten high-intensity exhibition matches. During the domestic training phase, two friendly games will be played against the Macau Black Bears on June 26th and 27th, with several high-level American players in their lineup.
After that, the team is set to travel to Melbourne, Australia in early July to play two exhibition games against the Australian men’s national basketball team. From July 5th to 10th, they will participate in the NBA Summer League in Sacramento, USA, where they will have three matches. Following this, there are plans to go to Las Vegas to face G League teams and free agent squads in 3-5 additional exhibition games before returning to China at the end of July.
