Today, the Timberwolves held their media day for the new season, and Edwards spoke about the situation with Towns during an interview.
When asked about his thoughts on Towns being traded, Edwards said,
“I think everyone knows that Towns is my brother, and it definitely hurt (that Towns was traded). But it’s a business, so I have to take it as it comes.”
When asked about life without Towns moving forward, Edwards admitted he wasn’t ready,
“Man, I really don’t know. It feels strange talking about this now because he was just traded. That’s my brother (dog). There was no first or second choice between us; we were both the team’s number one choice, and we helped each other. I’m glad to be the kind of player they want me to be, but we’ve always been partners, so it’s hard to talk about this.”
