Today is the NBA’s media day for the new season, and Clippers star Kawhi Leonard spoke to the media.
When discussing his participation in 68 games last season, Leonard said:
“Last season, I played the most games I have in a long time. Over the past two years, I recovered from my anterior cruciate ligament injury, which was an improvement. Furthermore, we were quite successful last season. However, from the perspective of the fans or my own competitive nature, we didn’t achieve our goal of winning the championship. But overall, considering my physical condition, last season was still good. I went from playing 0 games to 52 and then to 68, so let’s see if I can continue from there (68 games) into the new season.”
According to NBA statistics: 68 games is Leonard’s highest number of appearances in a single season since the 2016-17 season.
