On July 11, Liu Weiwei, the head coach of the Qingdao Eagles, spoke to the media about upcoming training plans for Yang Hanshen.
Previously, there were rumors that Australian clubs were interested in signing Yang Hanshen, but the Qingdao Eagles were unwilling to let him go. In response, Liu Weiwei stated that the club had developed numerous plans for Yang Hanshen, with the initial plan being a national team call-up. The main events were matches against Australia and the NBA Summer League. After playing three games, there would be additional internal competitions.
Following the conclusion of the Summer League, the club, in collaboration with NBA China, arranged for a specialized trainer for Yang Hanshen in Australia. The club had already prepared a detailed plan, including fixed dates. After a brief adjustment period upon returning to China, throughout August until August 28, Yang Hanshen will undergo special training in Australia.
According to Chief Zhao, NBA China operates an NBA Academy in Australia where many young Chinese athletes studying abroad have trained, including Cui Yongxi.
