Today, according to a post by Zhao Tanchang, a media figure in the basketball circle, China’s men’s basketball training squad has been reduced from 20 players to 14, with the possibility of some players returning. The full text of his post is as follows.
“According to CCTV’s ‘Basketball Park,’ six players have already left the national team training camp. They are Cui Yongxi, Yang Hansen, Zhao Rui, Zeng Fanbo, Zhang Zhenlin, and Zhao Jiwei. The first two took leave for overseas training, while the latter four due to injuries.
The current training squad has been reduced from an initial 20 players down to only 14. However, I’ve also heard that some players have only temporarily left the camp and may return later.
Also, the episode of ‘Basketball Park’ covering the training camp was very well done, and I recommend everyone to watch it.”
