Media Figure: Chinese Basketball Legend Miao Lijie Inducted into FIBA Hall of Fame, Becoming the Fourth Chinese to Receive This Honor

Today, according to media figure Detective Zhao from the Basketball Circle, Chinese basketball legend Miao Lijie has been inducted into the 2024 FIBA Hall of Fame, making her the fourth Chinese basketball figure to receive this honor.

“The 2024 FIBA Hall of Fame officially inducts Chinese women’s basketball legend Miao Lijie! Joining her in this induction are Peja, Reggie Miller, and others.

Miao Lijie is the fourth Chinese basketball figure to achieve this honor after Mou Zuoyun, Zheng Haixia, and Yao Ming. Congratulations to her!”

Miao Lijie participated in three Olympic Games with the Chinese women’s basketball team (2004, 2008, 2012) and was the core player when the team secured fourth place at the Beijing Olympics.

Miao Lijie also joined the WNBA in 2005, signing with the now-defunct Sacramento Monarchs and winning a WNBA championship with the team.
