In a friendly basketball match held late last night, the French national team lost to Canada by a score of 73-85.
A sports commentator based in China, @Kong Dexin, commented:
The French national team was consistently outplayed by Canada throughout most of the game, eventually falling behind by double digits in the final quarter. They lost the match with a score of 73-85.
SGA contributed 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists; Barrett added 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists (with 3 three-pointers made); Olynyk scored 14 points.
Vincent, with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, led the team with 19 points; Gobert contributed 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Vincent might find his offensive environment in the national team less favorable than that in the Spurs… The weak external offensive power of the French team is a well-known issue. The entire team had 20 assists and 20 turnovers. If Nembhard were French, perhaps it would have been France dominating Canada. The absence of Batum today would also impact France to some extent.
