Nanjing vs Xinjiang Preview: Xinjiang Players’ Suspensions Impact Team, Guo Haowen’s Strong Desire to Perform a Highlight

On August 24, the CBA Summer League in Yumin continues with a match between Nanjing Tongxi and Xinjiang Guanghui.

Previously, Xinjiang Guanghui was involved in a physical altercation during a warm-up game against the American Explorers, resulting in seven players receiving suspensions from the Basketball Association. Huang Rongqi is suspended for six games, Qi Lin for five games, Xi Erzhati, Lu Tuluba, and Guo Yuzhang for four games each, while Tang Caiyu and Li Yanzhe are suspended for three games each. Notably, these suspensions apply to the CBA Summer League, pre-season games, and regular season games.

This directly results in seven players being suspended for Xinjiang Guanghui’s match against Nanjing Tongxi.

In the Summer League game on August 23, Xinjiang Guanghui lost 73-77 to Jiangsu Men’s Basketball. Four players scored in double digits, with Ilifu Lati contributing 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals, Yang Rui and Xi Erzhati both scoring 14 points, and Abudushalam Abdurexi adding 10 points and 8 rebounds, while Wu Guanxi scored 8 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and had 4 blocks.

Nanjing Tongxi defeated Tianjin Men’s Basketball 110-99 in their game on August 23. Guo Haowen, who recently joined Nanjing Tongxi, contributed an explosive performance with 35 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 steals. Zhao Baiqing scored 25 points and 7 rebounds, Wu Tingjia added 16 points, and Liu Dong had 9 points and 8 rebounds.

Originally, Xinjiang Guanghui had a certain advantage in strength, but due to multiple player suspensions, they will be significantly impacted. Although Nanjing Tongxi’s team participating in the Summer League mainly consists of rotational players, new additions such as Guo Haowen, Tian Yuheng, and Zhang Xinyu all have a strong desire to perform. Even with an incomplete lineup, as the host team, Xinjiang Guanghui will not want to easily give up in front of their home fans. The playing time for established players like Abudushalam Abdurexi and Wu Guanxi is likely to increase significantly, making this game a competitive match between the two teams.
