Sorrow! Taiwanese Media Reveals That Lin Tingqian's Father, Tianjin Basketball Player, Passed Away Unexpectedly

On July 21st, according to reports from Taiwanese media, Lin Tingqian’s father, former head coach of Yulon men’s basketball team, Lin Zhengming, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of this morning at the age of 63. Lin Zhengming had nurtured many talented basketball players, including current national team point guard Chen Yingjun, Gao Jinwei, You Aizhe, and others who were his students at Nengren High School.

Lin Tingqian was born in Taipei, China in 1999. In 2020, he was selected by the Tianjin Pioneers with the third pick in the CBA draft.

Last season, he played 34 games for Tianjin, averaging 35.6 minutes per game, contributing 15.2 points, 6.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game.
