June 17th, Tatum granted an exclusive interview with ESPN today.
Regarding the Finals MVP, Tatum said, “It’s significant, but not the main objective. Isiah Thomas, Duncan didn’t win it every time they won a championship, neither did Larry Bird. Curry has only one, and Kobe secured five titles with only two FMVPs. I wouldn’t be saddened by not winning the FMVP; I’d be ecstatic about winning the championship.”
