Today, the Lynx official account shared a set of statistics. The only two players to score 40 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in a single WNBA playoff game are Collier and Lynx legend Maya Moore.
Collier achieved this feat by scoring 42 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in today’s first-round playoff victory over the Mercury.
Maya Moore also accomplished this on September 27, 2015, in a semi-final game where they defeated the Mercury, scoring 40 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. At that time, the Mercury lineup included Taurasi and Griner. That season, the Lynx went on to win the championship, avenging their loss to the Mercury in the finals of 2014.
It remains to be seen what this cycle of fate might portend.
The Lynx will host the Sun at home on Monday, September 30, to begin their semi-final journey.
