Recently, the topic of weight loss for the Pelicans’ key player, Zion Williamson, has attracted widespread attention. Multiple media outlets have previously reported signs that Zion was getting leaner.
Today, US media outlet BasketballForever posted pictures indicating that Zion’s weight has dropped from 285 lbs (129 kg) during his time at Duke to 281 lbs (127.5 kg), with a pre-season goal of reaching 272 lbs (123 kg).
Earlier, NBC reported that Zion’s weight had reached 330 lbs (150 kg).
Zion stands only 198 cm tall, but such a large weight has put unbearable strain on his knees, leading to frequent injuries. It remains to be seen whether this weight loss will reduce his injury problems.
