Recently, former world heavyweight champion, American “The Fighting Devil” George Foreman (76-5, 68 KOs), told the media that in his opinion, Britain’s “Lion” Lennox Lewis (41-2-1, 32 KOs) was the best among all heavyweight champions in history.
George Foreman said, “No one in the world could take the championship belt from Lennox Lewis. Without a doubt, he is the greatest heavyweight in boxing history. Lewis’ accomplishments speak for themselves; he has proven everything.”
Lewis, who will turn 59 this September, had an impressive professional record of 41 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw, with 32 of those victories coming by way of knockout. He defeated notable contemporaries and future stars such as Evander Holyfield (in their second encounter), Mike Tyson, Tommy Tuah, Tommy Morrison, Razor Ruddock, Shannon Briggs, Hasim Rahman, and Vitali Klitschko, among others.
