donk Interview: I’m Not a Top 3 Player, m0NESY Is the Best in the World Right Now

After winning in London, Spirit’s donk spoke with a foreign media outlet.

Q: How does it feel to win the last major tournament of the first half of the year?

A: It feels great. In my first season, I’ve won some big events, we’ve had good results, but we should have done even better. We need to continue our daily training and push ourselves harder.

Q: You’ve been playing incredibly well this year. How would you rate your consistency?

A: It’s hard to say, but from my perspective, I’m not that consistent yet. I need to find the key traits that will help me maintain stability, and I’m working on that.

I can definitely perform better.

Q: Do you think it’s because of your own inconsistency or other teams adapting to your style?

A: I don’t know how other teams adapt to me, but it seems they have different opinions about me.

All the mistakes I make are my own fault, not something opponents force me into.

Q: So where do you think the problem lies?

A: Sometimes I’m not aggressive enough, playing too slow. Other times, I rush too much. I need to find a balance.

Q: Would more matches help you find that balance?

A: Yes, it’s about experience for me. My team and I are working on it, and I feel personally responsible for addressing these issues quickly.

Q: Are you surprised by how well you’ve performed considering your lack of experience?

A: Honestly, I don’t consider myself strong; I believe I can do better. There are still areas where I need to improve.

Q: Are there players you think are superior to you? Any names?

A: Definitely. In my opinion, m0NESY is the best player in the world right now, and ZywOo is stronger than me. As for riflers, Nikola Kovač | NiKo is in great form too. His performance in Dallas was unbelievable.

Q: Who do you think are currently in the Top 3? Do you count yourself among them?

A: No, I don’t.

Q: Who would you say are in the Top 3 then?

A: m0NESY, ZywOo, and Dmitry Sokolov | sh1ro.

Q: What’s it like playing alongside sh1ro?

A: It’s fantastic. It’s great to play with someone you used to admire; he’s incredibly skilled. Working with him means a lot. He brings a wealth of experience and focus to the team. From the moment we started playing together, I knew I had to learn from sh1ro to become better. He has taught me a lot, and I’m still learning from him.

Q: Besides sh1ro, who else do you look up to?

A: It’s hard to pick one because I study all players who excel in my role, trying to uncover their secrets and learn from them. However, I watch NiKo the most.

Q: Everyone says you’re one of the best young talents in the new CS version. Who do you think is the rising star in the current game?

A: The Mongolian players, especially Ayush Batbold | mzinho, have a bright future. They can become a top-tier team. Also, Maxim Lukin | kyousuke from Spirit’s academy is someone I have high hopes for. His mindset helps him perform at a high level.
