Shoke stated in an interview that the current salary structure of CS professional teams is not in a healthy state.
Shoke was once a CS professional player, and after his retirement, he formed a professional team called Cybershoke, but this path did not work out. In recent years, he has leveraged his resources and solid IT skills to build a CS platform in the CIS region, generating income from it.
When discussing the current salary situation of CS teams, Shoke said, “To be blunt, the current CS pro scene is a huge bubble. Considering the current revenue-generating capacity of the esports circle, players’ salaries are generally too high. In my opinion, top 5 teams’ players should not be earning $20,000 to $25,000 per month. In my view, only Spirit and MOUZ have relatively reasonable salary structures.”
