The organizers of the 2024 E-Sports World Cup (EWC) have unveiled today’s promotional poster for the CS event, captioned: “It’s Donk versus the world, the EWC E-Sports World Cup CS tournament officially kicks off on July 17th.”
The CS E-Sports World Cup will take place from July 17-21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with 15 participating teams competing for a prize pool of $1 million.
The tournament format features a first-round BO3, with winning teams advancing directly to the elimination round. Teams that lose will join JiJieHao in a single-elimination BO1 revival round, where the ultimate victor will secure an elimination round spot (Note: JiJieHao is the team that advanced from the Middle East closed qualifier; after advancing, they enter the last chance group rather than the main event). The elimination round will follow a single-elimination BO3 format.
