The transfer of BOROS marks the final step in their roster rebuild after the additions of Keoz, smooya, coach Juve, and Guild Eagles members juanflatroo and sinnopsyy.

BOROS demonstrated his formidable aiming skills during his time with Monte, helping the team reach the quarterfinals of the Paris Major, which caught the attention of Saudi Arabian club Falcons. He joined their roster as they were building up, and he had been with them since June 2023.

However, his tenure at Falcons was less than stellar, with inconsistent performances and lackluster results prompting management to reassess the roster’s composition.

The club underwent a bold roster overhaul, bringing in the core members of then world No.3 ENCE, including 2023’s best AWPer Magisk, 2023 Coach of the Year zonic, and even attempting to buy out NiKo from G2 (which ultimately failed).

Without the Bosnian superstar and most teams having locked in their rosters for the Copenhagen Major qualifiers, Falcons decided to keep BOROS in the lineup, trying to make it work. However, position conflicts and early discussions about internal issues clearly indicated some teething problems.

BOROS’ incompatibility with the team style became evident during the BLAST Spring Series Group Stage, where he posted a 1.05 rating in the lower bracket matches. Yet, he delivered the highest 1.12 rating for the team at IEM Katowice, propelling them to the semifinals, seemingly making amends for previous shortcomings.

However, they faltered when it mattered most, losing the European RMR with a 1-3 record and missing out on the Copenhagen Major. In that tournament, BOROS had a 0.92 rating, and later a documentary revealed teammates’ dissatisfaction with his “changing mouse before matches” behavior, leading to complaints and controversy.

Following the team’s elimination, he was swiftly benched and remained outside the starting lineup ever since. The transfer to Into the Breach now offers him a chance at redemption.

The UK-based organization described their final signing – now revealed to be BOROS – as a “star rifler,” suggesting he will have the opportunity to prove himself worthy of the title and return to his Monte-era form.

While their debut match remains unknown, the off-season ends on July 14th, so their first appearance will be one to watch.

The updated Into the Breach roster is:

Owen Butterfield | smooya

Dionis Budeci | sinnopsyy

Flatron Halimi | juanflatroo

Nicolas Dgus | Keoz

Mohammad Malhas | BOROS

Gustavo Alexandre | Juve (Coach)

Kevin Amend | kRYSTAL (Assistant Coach / Analyst)

Karol Rodowicz | rallen (benched)
