In the recently concluded Copenhagen Major Asia RMR Lower Bracket Finals, Chinese team LVG rallied from a game down to defeat Australian squad Grayhound 2-1, securing their spot in the first CS2 Major tournament!
On Map One Dust II, LVG faced eco round comebacks and lost many points they should have secured, getting dominated 13:6.
On Map Two Anubis, LVG’s strongest map, their strong control in the middle led to an 8:4 lead in the first half. Starry and Jee both performed well in the second half, securing a 13:7 victory on Map Two.
On Map Three Nuke, LVG’s confidence from Map Two resulted in solid teamwork as CT-side, leading to a dominant 10:2 advantage in the first half. Unbeatable in the second half, they crushed with a 13:2 score! LVG triumphed by coming back from a game down to eliminate their opponents.
This marks LVG’s first Major main event qualification in seven years and also their first appearance with team stickers. Since the Antwerp Major in 2022, Chinese teams have missed three Majors. After a three-year wait, Chinese representation is finally returning to the Major stage this year.
It can be anticipated that following LVG’s advancement to the Copenhagen Major, interest in CS2 will increase, likely resulting in a rise in item prices. Currently, there are noticeable signs of price increases for high-end base skins and gradient colors. For players considering entering the item market now, monitoring platforms like IGXE and NetEase Buff for item price trends is advisable, with a focus on purchasing underpriced items or collectibles.
