Following BLAST, tournament organizer CCT has announced its entry into DOTA2, with its first season, CCT S1, set to commence immediately after the conclusion of TI13 Western Europe Qualifiers on June 24th.
CCT DOTA2 S1 will kick off with eight online events, with the first round taking place from June 24th to July 3rd. The dates for subsequent tournaments will be announced in the future.
Each round will feature 12 invited teams, with 10 of them competing in a group stage to determine the six teams that will face off against two seeded teams in the playoffs. The prize pool for the initial round is $50,000, with a total prize pool of $400,000 for Season 1.
