On March 14, 2024, the EA SPORTS FC Pro Football World Carnival launched in Shanghai, with 12 teams from 11 regional qualifiers commencing a four-day battle that will conclude on March 17 to determine the champion. The event also features Dutch football legend Ruud Gullit and several prominent streamers who will be on-site for performances and interactions.

Distinguishing itself from conventional sports game e-sports events, this competition boasts a wide reach, compact schedule, mature rules, and free team customization.

The tournament includes 12 teams composed of professional players and popular streamers from China, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Jordan, Egypt, Australia, Spain. Among them are top-tier pros like Li Rongzhang, who has won multiple international titles, and well-known streamers such as ALI AHMAD OMAR MOUSA, with millions of followers across the web.

The tournament consists of four days and four stages. On March 14 and 15, there are 33 matches per day in a round-robin format. All 12 teams will compete in BO2 matches, with the top four advancing to the elimination stage, while the remaining eight enter the qualifying round.

On March 16, the qualifying round takes place with 28 matches. The eight teams in this phase play in a round-robin BO2 format, with the top four advancing to the elimination stage, and the rest being eliminated.

On March 17, the elimination round and final occur, featuring seven matches. The eight teams that advanced will participate in BO3 matches, starting with the round of 16, quarterfinals, and semifinals, culminating in a BO5 final to determine the champion.

A pool of 154 player cards is available, allowing each competitor to customize their lineup before each match, breaking away from the restriction of unchangeable lineups in previous football game tournaments.
