Let’s take a look at the latest update for the new CS version.
Developers have pushed out a new update for CS, primarily focusing on bug fixes but also including some map tweaks.
Miscellaneous
• When players reconnect to the server while still on cooldown, their spawn points are no longer randomly determined. Spawn order is now configured at the start of the map and saved and restored from round backup files.
Ⅰ. On official matchmaking servers, players who disconnect during cooldown and reconnect will respawn at the spawn point assigned to them at the start of the round.
Ⅱ. On community servers, players who disconnect and reconnect during cooldown will be assigned to one of the five spawn points allocated to their team for that round.
Ⅲ. When restoring from a round backup file (recommended after disconnections/reconnections), players will respawn at the position initially assigned to them at the start of the round.
• Fixed an issue where players experienced black screens after multiple disconnects and reconnects during a technical pause.
• Fixed an issue where players would improperly interact with the bot respawn algorithm when reconnecting to a competitive match.
• Fixed issues with the MVP exclusive music not playing correctly in certain situations.
• Fixed a bug where kills during warmup in Deathmatch mode counted towards normal weapon rewards and Zeus score.

• Fixed an issue where the server sometimes ignored weapon switches.

• Adjusted various music kit prompts in the NIGHTMODE Music Kit box (ISOxo, Knock2, TWERL, Ekko & Sidetrack).
• Fixed an issue where some North American players couldn’t join European servers due to SDR selecting an invalid route.
• Players who are kicked from official competitive servers for excessive suicides now receive a competitive cooldown.
• Adjusted the backend server logic for tracking player inactivity, excluding round cooldown and pause times.
• chickens no longer interact with dropped weapons.
• Sniper scope overlays no longer appear in tool windows (e.g., the hammer).

It’s worth noting that this update comes just before the Americas RMR tournament. Nevertheless, the changes, especially to spawn points, will undoubtedly impact competitive gameplay strategies. PGL has yet to announce whether the latest or an older version of CS will be used for the tournament, leaving pro players to test and adapt quickly to avoid any surprises.
