The Dutch defender, currently playing for PSV Eindhoven, Schutten, stated in an interview that the draw against the French team has given the whole squad a significant confidence boost.
Schutten admitted, “After the match against France, our morale is excellent. France might be the favorites, but the fact that we didn’t lose and almost won the game gives us the belief that we can compete with any team.”
The PSV player acknowledged that there were areas for improvement, particularly in attack: “If we can’t push forward, then so be it. We can’t dominate for 90 minutes against everyone, especially at this level of competition.”
