On June 24th, according to British tabloid The Sun, Jack Grealish has cut short his holiday to return to Manchester City’s pre-season training earlier than expected.
The 28-year-old City star was surprisingly left out of Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man England squad for the 2024 UEFA European Championship. Following this, Grealish was spotted vacationing in Dubai and later in Sardinia with his girlfriend Sasha Attwood.
Aside from relaxing with family and friends, Grealish has remained committed to maintaining his fitness and form.
He shared a selfie after a workout, captioned: “Feeling good atm~”
It’s reported that the £100 million player will return to Manchester ahead of schedule. Players who were not involved in the Euros or Copa America are due back for pre-season on July 9th. However, Grealish is anticipated to come back a full week earlier to demonstrate his fitness and readiness to manager Pep Guardiola.
Last season, Grealish had a challenging campaign both on and off the pitch. The Englishman scored just three goals (all in December) in 36 appearances, making only 10 Premier League starts.
