On June 21st in the second round of the Euro Cup C Group, England drew 1-1 with Denmark. After the match, England’s player Kyle Walker reflected on the game’s difficulty, acknowledging that fans’ desire for big victories isn’t realistic.

In an interview, Walker showed support for manager Gareth Southgate: “The gaffer wants us to play attacking football at a high level, but in major tournaments, controlling the tempo is key first. So, every international encounter is incredibly tough, just like the Champions League. We know there’s always room for improvement,” he said.

Defending against criticism directed at the team, Walker stated, “It’s obvious that everyone expects us to win 3-0 or 4-0 every time, but football isn’t that simple. Despite only earning one point, we remain top of our group, and we’ll keep pushing forward.” In the previous two matches, England had won 1-0 against Serbia and drawn 1-1 with Denmark. Heading into the final round against Slovenia, England will need all their strength to secure the top spot in the group.
