In the UEFA Euro Round of 16 match, Müller secured the winning goal, helping Germany advance with a 2-0 victory over Denmark.

After missed opportunities from Havertz and Sané, Müller finally netted the decisive goal for Germany in the 68th minute. Schlotterbeck played a precise through ball from the back, and Schmeichel failed to come out in time; Müller raced into the left side of the box and slotted home into the far corner.

This is Müller’s third goal in this Euro championship, having previously scored once against Scotland and once against Hungary in the group stage. He now equals the Georgian forward Mikhatze’s tally of three goals, jointly leading the tournament’s scoring charts.

With his achievement, the 21-year-old Müller becomes the second-youngest player after Wayne Rooney (at 18) to score three Euro goals. Additionally, he is the first German player since Thomas Müller (5 goals) and André Schürrle (3 goals) in the 2014 World Cup to score at least three goals in a major tournament in the last decade.
