On July 1st, according to an official announcement by the A-League, Adelaide United has secured the signing of Bart van den Fliert from the Dutch Eredivisie.
Van den Fliert, previously the captain of the historic Dutch professional football club Sparta Rotterdam, has inked a two-year contract with Adelaide United, running until the end of the 2025-26 season.
The 33-year-old arrives as a free transfer from the Eredivisie, where he made 215 appearances and scored 11 goals. He served as the club captain for eight seasons.
