June 29 – According to renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, newly-promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town has agreed to sign Chelsea forward Hutchinson for a fee of £22 million. It is expected that there will be no buy-back clause but a sell-on clause will be included.
Last season, the 20-year-old Chelsea striker joined Championship club Ipswich Town on loan and played a crucial role in their promotion to the Premier League, featuring in 50 matches, scoring 11 goals, and providing 5 assists.
If the deal goes through, it would break Ipswich Town’s record for the most expensive transfer in the club’s history, surpassing the £4.75 million they paid Sampdoria for Matteo Sereni back in 2001.
As per the reports, Hutchinson’s former club Arsenal is also set to benefit financially from this transfer due to a clause in his move to Chelsea two years ago.
