The television rights for this edition have increased to €1.44 billion, while commercial revenues stand at €568 million. Adding €300 million from ticket sales and an estimated additional €100 million related to stadium income, the tournament has so far raked in close to €2.5 billion. Remarkably, this figure keeps growing.
Calculations indicate that should Spain make it all the way to Berlin and win the final, they would collect a total of €28.25 million in bonuses. As for the referees’ rewards, main referees receive €5,000 per group stage match, while assistant referees and fourth officials get €2,500 during the group stage, with this amount increasing to €5,000 after the round of 16.
