On the night of October 29th last year, following Manchester United’s humiliating defeat to Manchester City away, Rashford was seen partying in a nightclub in Manchester city center until late. Ten Hag immediately labeled this behavior “unacceptable.” Later that day, Rashford missed training due to illness. Upon learning the truth, Ten Hag removed him from the team squad list, leading to a strained relationship between the two.

Previously, Ten Hag’s tenure at United had seemed insecure. Rashford’s plan was to stay put once Ten Hag was dismissed. However, after Ten Hag led the team to an FA Cup final upset victory over City, club owner Sir Alex changed his mind, casting doubt on Rashford’s future at the club.

With Ten Hag likely to remain in charge, Manchester United are now considering selling Rashford. Previously, they hoped to secure £80 million for the player, but given his underwhelming performance last season, United may have to accept offers around £60 million from other clubs.

Last season, Rashford made 43 appearances for United across all competitions, starting 35 times and scoring only 8 goals with 5 assists. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is currently the most interested club in acquiring him.
