On July 6th, Germany lost to Spain 2-1, ending their journey to the semi-finals and marking the end of Toni Kroos’ career on the pitch. After the match, Jessica Kroos, Toni’s wife, expressed her gratitude to her husband on social media.
She wrote, “In the 16 years we’ve been together, we have experienced almost everything football has to offer. There were many highlights, but also hurdles and setbacks to overcome. We celebrated together, but we also cried and tried to find ways to hold back. You still lacked that one title, unfortunately, it didn’t turn out as planned.”
