July 3rd – Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais has announced today that it has renewed the contract of head coach Pierre Sager until the year 2026.
Sager took over the team halfway through the season and saved them from the threat of relegation. At the end of the campaign, after 34 matches, he led the team to a record of 16 wins, 5 draws, and 13 losses, accumulating 53 points, securing a 6th-place finish in the French Ligue 1 and qualifying for the Europa League next season.
