According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are on the verge of signing 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder Renato VEGA from Swiss club Basel for a fee of €14 million, with no additional clauses.
Renato VEGA was born on July 29, 2003, stands at 190cm tall, and is predominantly left-footed. He mainly plays as a defensive midfielder but can also operate as a central defender or even a left-back.
Last season, VEGA made 23 appearances in the Swiss Super League, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
As per Romano, an agreement has been reached between Chelsea, Basel, and the player regarding the transfer, and VEGA is expected to undergo medical checks soon – here we go!
