The English Premier League club Southampton has officially announced the permanent signing of Manchester City center-back Baylis.
At 22 years old, Baylis is a product of Manchester City’s youth academy. He has had several loan spells, and last season he was loaned to Southampton, where he made 43 appearances in the Championship, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists, contributing to the team’s promotion back to the Premier League.
Baylis’s impressive performances convinced Southampton to trigger his €23 million buy-out clause, securing the defender on a permanent basis.
