On July 3, Klopp, who was attending the tennis championship final, was interviewed by ESPN’s Agustín Larroca. The former Liverpool manager shared his thoughts on the favorites for the European Championship.
Klopp, currently on holiday, was spotted at the Mallorca Tennis Championship final wearing a German national team jersey. He spoke with ESPN’s journalist.
Who do you see as the favorites to win?
Klopp: “At this point, I would say Spain has the best chance to lift the trophy. They have the ability to do it. Of course, Germany is strong too, especially playing at home. France and England are also very good, that goes without saying.”
It’s worth mentioning that Spain has been one of the most captivating teams in this edition of the tournament. After comfortably defeating Georgia, they will face host nation Germany in the quarter-finals, marking the first major showdown of the competition.
