According to Italian media Sport Mediaset, Lazio legend Ciro Immobile is poised to conclude his eight-year stint with the club, making a move to Turkish giants Besiktas.
The report indicates that negotiations between Immobile and Besiktas have reached their final stages, with the Turkish powerhouse offering him a three-year contract worth 6 million euros per year including bonuses.
The only obstacle at present is Lazio’s unwillingness to let Immobile go for free; they are hoping to recoup at least 10 million euros in transfer fees from him. If the talks between the two clubs proceed smoothly, the deal could be officially announced within the next few days.
Since joining Lazio in 2016, Immobile has made 340 appearances for the team, scoring 207 goals, making him the club’s all-time top scorer. He still has two years left on his contract with Lazio, and his current market value stands at 4 million euros.
