On July 13, FC Tokyo officially announced that Gokusei Matsuoki has left the team with the intention of pursuing a career abroad.

Gokusei Matsuoki has decided to depart following today’s activities to prepare for the procedures related to his transfer to an overseas club. We will notify you again once everything is formally decided.
Gokusei Matsuoki, aged 21, joined the FC Tokyo first team in 2022. This season, he made 19 appearances for the team, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists. Earlier this year, Matsuoki represented Japan U23 in winning the U23 Asian Cup, but he was unfortunately not selected for the Japanese Olympic squad for the Paris Olympics.
