TNT: Internacional of Brazil Unbeaten in Five Recent Games, Coach Coudet Out

On July 11, in the first leg of the third round of the Copa do Brasil, Internacional lost 1-2 to Juventude at home. After the game, TNT Sports stated that Internacional had decided to sack head coach Eduardo Coudet.

Internacional’s recent form has been quite poor, having already gone four rounds without a win in the Brazilian Serie A, and they were still unable to return to the winning track in this cup match. Currently, Internacional is temporarily in 11th place in the Brazilian Serie A standings with 19 points.

The 49-year-old Argentine coach Coudet hung up his boots in 2011, and has previously managed teams such as Central Rosario, Tijuana, Racing Club, and Celta Vigo. He took charge of Internacional for the first time between January and November 2020, and returned to the club as head coach in July 2023. During his second spell, he led the team in 62 games, achieving a record of 30 wins, 15 draws, and 17 losses.
