On July 9, Hui Jia’ang, a former national team player aged 34, announced his retirement via social media. Hui wrote, “Retired, I made a trip back to Tianjin. Thank you all for still remembering me.”
It is reported that Hui Jia’ang has previously played for Chengdu Blades (Sheffield United), Tianjin TEDA (now Tianjin Jinmen Tiger), Changchun Yatai, and Liaoning FC.
In January this year, Hui joined the China League One team Liaoning FC, making seven appearances for the team before leaving on July 3.
Data shows that in the Chinese Super League, Hui Jia’ang has played in 163 games, scoring 9 goals and providing 16 assists.
Worth noting, Hui Jia’ang was also selected for the Chinese men’s national football team. In the 2017 China Cup tournament, he represented the national team in two matches.
