On July 14, Southampton announced the signing of Japanese player Yuki Suzuki, with both parties agreeing to a four-year contract.
The 24-year-old right-back began his career at Nagoya Grampus at the age of 17. During the 19/20 season, Suzuki joined AZ Alkmaar on loan, before completing a permanent transfer in 2020. By the end of last season, he had made a total of 198 appearances for AZ Alkmaar, scoring 14 goals and providing 29 assists.
