The head of a criminal organization watched the match between Palmeiras and Bahia, was identified by the stadium’s facial recognition system, and was arrested during the game.

During last Sunday’s Brazilian League match between Palmeiras and Bahia, a man identified as the leader of the Bahian criminal organization Bonde do Maluco was arrested. The stadium’s facial recognition cameras identified the suspect, after which police from the Second Shock Battalion in São Paulo made the arrest.

Rogério Barbosa, known as “R6” or “Ró”, was on-site watching the Brazilian league match. He has a history of “selling flour” and was charged by the Bahia public sector last April.
