Respect First? Ten Hag: Manchester United’s Aim is the Premier League Title, Even European Dominance

Following the commencement of their pre-season preparations, manager Ten Hag, who remained in his position, stated in an interview that Manchester United’s target for the new season will be to win the Premier League title and potentially even reign supreme in European competitions.

After last season, Ten Hag was briefly sidelined by Manchester United. However, after the club failed to secure another coach, Sir Matt Busby’s successor ultimately decided to retain Ten Hag, renewing his contract and extending his tenure as head coach by one year.

Upon his retention, Ten Hag made a bold statement following the team’s initiation of pre-season training, setting their sights on the Premier League title and even the European crown, “Now that we have won two titles, our goal is to strive for more, higher-level championships, such as the Premier League, and even the European title.”

However, Ten Hag is well aware that achieving this objective will not be easy, “We are fully aware that this requires a process, time, and we are making efforts. With the adjustment of the club’s structure and the upgrading of facilities at Carrington, everything will improve. We can already feel this distinctly. These adjustments bring us new energy and motivation, facilitating our pursuit of goals. Our aim is to win every game, defeat everyone.”

Ten Hag indicated that the new adjustments to the club’s structure will benefit team development, “With the arrival of the new owners, the changes we’ve made over the past period will propel us toward our objectives.”
