Kukurelia: If we win the title, I'll dye my hair red; Palmer had best stay on the bench

On July 13, Spanish defender Kukurelia recently gave an exclusive interview to the World Sports Newspaper, responding to various topics regarding the final opponent England and making promises should they win the championship.

[“You play for Chelsea and know England well. Will the coach consult you about related matters?”]

Kukurelia: We had our first conversation today, exchanging some questions. But he (De La Fuente) has Rodri, who understands football better than me. I think if he has any doubts, we can offer him different perspectives.

[“You have a good relationship with Palmer. Have you been in touch lately?”]

Kukurelia: Yes, we talked, but it was a week ago. During the earlier rounds of matches, we chatted for quite a while. For us, it’s much better that he isn’t playing and is sitting on the bench.

[“You once said you would dye your hair red if you won the title?”]

Kukurelia: Right now. I don’t have any other way to put it. If we win, I’ll have to do it.

[“Neville said that if Spain doesn’t win the title, it’s because there are issues on the left flank.”]

Kukurelia: There’s no need for further comment. In England, this is common, but they are all players who have these experiences. I don’t think it’s necessary to disrespect (other players) just to have an opinion or to make people aware of him or continue hearing his name. These things have happened, and I believe we have one last step remaining. I hope we can lift the trophy.

[“The boos during the match against France”]

Kukurelia: At first, I was a bit surprised because I didn’t understand it, but quickly when I saw many people in white shirts, I understood why. But spending that money, reaching the semi-finals of the European Championship, and then booing… They could have given the tickets to someone who enjoys the game.
