The English Championship club Leeds United has officially announced that their defender, Diego Llorente, has departed the team to join Real Betis.
The 30-year-old Llorente joined Leeds United from Real Sociedad in 2020 for a fee of €20 million and went on to make 59 appearances for the team, scoring four goals. Over the past one and a half seasons, he was loaned to Serie A side Roma, but the Italian club ultimately decided against exercising the option to purchase him permanently.
Llorente will sign a four-year contract with Real Betis, and according to media reports, his transfer fee is approximately €3 million.
