Juventus has reached an agreement with Nice to purchase the player Khephren Thuram for a price of 20 million euros, to be paid over three financial years, with potential additional fees up to 600 thousand euros. Juventus has signed a five-year contract with the 23-year-old French midfielder, lasting until June 30, 2029. Khephren’s connection with Juventus and Italy runs deep. Born in Reggio Emilia in 2001 when his father Lilian Thuram was playing for Parma, that same summer saw the family move to Turin following Lilian Thuram’s transfer to Juventus. Twenty-three years later, Khephren is back here. Khephren began his football career near Paris, France. His first club was Neuilly-sur-Seine, after which he transferred to the Boulogne-Billancourt Athletic Club. At age 13, he was selected to join the Clairefontaine youth academy, becoming one of the top 20 French footballers born in 2001. After joining Monaco, Khephren made his Champions League debut in November 2018 against Atlético Madrid. In 2019, he moved to Nice. During his time at Nice, he made 167 appearances, scoring 9 goals and providing 12 assists. Over these five years, he had the most appearances in Ligue 1 among all team members (141) and ranked second in duel statistics (942). Khephren made significant strides at Nice, showcasing his physical and technical attributes in recent seasons. His impressive performances earned him a call-up by the French national team coach Deschamps, making his debut on March 24, 2023, against the Netherlands. After five years at Nice, Khephren has developed into an international player, and now he can once again call Turin his “home.” Welcome to Juventus, Khephren!
