The Paraguayan Football Association has officially announced that Brighton & Hove Albion forward, Anthony Enciso, has been called up to the Paraguay U23 squad to participate in this summer’s Paris Olympic Games.
The 20-year-old Enciso has already made 17 appearances for the Paraguay national team, scoring one goal, and was part of the squad that competed in this summer’s Copa America.
Initially, Enciso was not included in the Olympic squad due to his recent participation in the Copa America. However, following the sudden injury of previously selected midfielder Peralta from Cruzeiro, the Paraguayan Football Association decided to call up Enciso after obtaining permission from Brighton.
