On July 18th, AS Roma officially announced the signing of Australian international goalkeeper Mat Ryan.
Mat Ryan, currently 32 years old, has previously played for Central Coast Mariners, Club Brugge, Valencia, Genk, Brighton & Hove Albion, Arsenal, Real Sociedad, Copenhagen, and AZ Alkmaar. Last season, Mat Ryan made 39 appearances for AZ Alkmaar as their first-choice goalkeeper. At the international level, he has represented the Australian national team in 81 matches, keeping a clean sheet 40 times.
