Official: Iranian Striker Taremi Joins Inter Milan on a Free Transfer

On July 13, Inter Milan officially announced that Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi has joined the team on a free transfer. The contract between both parties will run until June 30, 2027.

Prior to this move, Taremi played for Portuguese club FC Porto, where his contract expired this summer. Last season, he made 35 appearances for Porto, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists.

In an official statement, Inter Milan wrote that as the first Iranian player in the history of Inter Milan, Taremi has become a symbol of the Iranian national team. He made his debut for Iran on June 11, 2015. To date, he has made 85 appearances for the national team, scoring 50 goals, and represented Iran at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
