According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has finalized his transfer to La Liga side Girona. Here we go!
Romano states that the initial fixed transfer fee for van de Beek is only €500k, but it includes a series of add-ons linked to appearances and performance.
Some of the more easily triggered add-ons have a combined value of around €4-5 million, while all the additional fees together could potentially reach up to €15 million.
Van de Beek will sign a contract with Girona until 2028, with a clause for a percentage of any future sell-on fee.
The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, making a total of eight appearances in the German league. Now, he is set to begin a new chapter in La Liga and has the opportunity to once again grace the Champions League stage.
