According to Italian transfer expert Di Marzio, Atalanta has initiated its search for a new forward following the severe ACL injury suffered by their center-forward, Scamacca.
Di Marzio highlights that Atalanta has several targets in mind for the forward position. One of them is Fiorentina’s attacking core, Nico González, though Atalanta will face competition from Juventus. Among the options for a traditional center-forward, Retegui of Genoa is a top choice. However, given that Genoa’s Gudmundsson is about to leave, it is unlikely that Genoa would let Retegui go easily.
